(Micro-watersheds)

This project recognizes the efforts to rescue and preservation of watersheds in Costa Rica. Hotel Palya Espadilla got this badge for the research project togetherwith students from the University of San Isidro Labrador in the micro-basin known as ”Shrimp Quebrada” natural boundary between our Wildlife Refuge and National Park Manuel Antonio . Note that the beaches to which guests have access to all have the Blue Flag award, guaranteeing pure in their waters, namely: North Beachand Playa Espadilla. In Manuel Antonio National Park: South Espadilla, Playa Manuel Antonio, Playa Puerto Escondido Center and beach. Moreinformation: AYA Map

Sustainable Tourism in Costa Rica - CST

Certification for Sustainable Tourism CST for short, is a program of the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism categorize those tourism enterprises whose operation isa sustainable model in the management of natural resources, cultural and social.The award of three levels or leaves, was delivered to the Hotel Costa Verde onAugust 13, 2010, through the efforts of staff for the task given to a comprehensive work towards ecological balance, social and community of Manuel Antonio andQuepos. More information: Official website of CST 

 Green Flag - Health Quality Seal 

The Costa Rican Institute Acuedutos and Sewer rewards those companies that meet excellent standards and requirements of water management within theirfacilities. Among the rules to qualify are: water saving programs and efficient use ofliquid, outreach and education program aimed at customers and employees of the company. The Hotel Costa Verde prmera received his Green Flag in 2009 earned him a star and in 2010 we increased the reward to 4 stars. With what care we reaffirm our commitment to the environment

Code of Conduct to protect children from commercial sexual exploitation in tourism  

The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism is an initiative of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) that brings together the private sector, nongovernmental organizations NGOs that protect the rights of children and government organizations with the aim of preventing the sexual exploitation of children in tourist destinations.
In Costa Rica, The conduct code is a project of the tourism industry which is supported by the Foundation Paniamor, along with the Association of TourOperators Costa Rica (ACOT), The Association of Tourism Professionals (ACOPROT), World Vision Costa Fundecooperación funded Rica and The Costa Rican Institute of Tourism.
The Hotel Costa Verde signed on August 28, 2010, the Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children and Adolescents Against Commercial Sexual Exploitationin Tourism, with a strong commitment to prevent sexual exploitation of childrenand adolescents in the area Quepos and Manuel Antonio.
